Insurance

The mandatory minimum is third-party liability insurance which covers damage caused to third parties in the event of an accident. Most rental companies will also offer you a CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) insurance and a theft insurance, some a broken cover of ice, damage to the tires and the bottom of the case. First thing to check: which insurance are included in the basic rate and which are extra - often a price per rental day. Second trap: the franchise. In most cases of damage, it will be claimed ... and automatically debited from the credit card, which you must have left the imprint when removing the vehicle. And it is often very high: several hundred euros at the bottom.
Sunny Cars' all-in formula includes all necessary insurance, without deductible. I checked it: after accidentally breaking the central mirror of my SUV (with all the electronics that goes with it) in Vancouver, I went to the Canadian hirer (National via Sunny Cars) to ask him to repair it. A quarter of an hour later, I left with another equivalent vehicle (and even better) without having to disburse the least euro. And without further discussion.
Mileage
There, it is simple: there are two options. Either you opt for unlimited mileage and your rental rate does not vary regardless of the distance traveled with the vehicle or not and in addition to a basic flat kilometer kilometer (which may be equal to zero) included in your you pay an extra charge for every kilometer you spend. The second option is a priori more advantageous if you know that you will ride little. But most of all think about it: many customers get hurt because they did not specify their choice initially thinking that the mileage was unlimited when it was not. Big supplement to the key.
